Registration Options

The All-Inclusive Package (tuition, lodging, & meals)

For most participants, especially those traveling from out of town, the All-Inclusive Package is the easiest option and the one we recommend.

If you choose the all-inclusive option your total retreat cost includes tuition, 3 nights of private on-campus lodging, and all weekend meals.

ALL-INCLUSIVE RATES:

  • ALUMNI: $900 total (For playwrights who have previously attended a Green Mountain Playwright Retreat.)

  • STANDARD: $975 total

  • SUSTAINING: $1,075 total (For those who are able to contribute a little more. The Sustaining Rate helps support the retreat and allows us to continue offering more accessible registration options.)

There are no additional retreat fees beyond these amounts. All participants receive exactly the same retreat experience regardless of registration level.

How Payment Works

Your all-inclusive cost is paid in two separate payments:

1. Tuition is paid to Green Mountain Playwright Retreat (GMPR) when you register through Theater Engine.

2. Lodging and meals are paid separately to The Creative Campus at Goddard. After you complete your tuition registration we will send you clear instructions for making your second payment.

The two payments together equal your total retreat cost shown above.

Retreat Tuition Only (without lodging & meals)

If you are local, or prefer to arrange your own lodging and meals off campus, all you need to do it register for the retreat on Theater Engine. You will have access to all retreat programming and will be responsible for your own lodging and meals.

TUITION ONLY RATES:

  • ALUMNI: $425 total

  • STANDARD: $500 total

  • SUSTAINING: $600 total

Are you planning to stay off campus but want to dine on campus? You can do that too! Just purchase a meal plan and you’re all set.

Once you register for the retreat, you will receive instructions on next steps. You can also change your mind - if you decide you do want to stay on campus, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

A Few Lodging & Dining Details

Private rooms: Lodging is approximately $225 for a private room for all 3 nights. Rooms are simple, campus-style accommodations with shared, co-ed bathrooms.

Sharing a room: If you are coming with a friend or partner and would like to share a room, you are welcome to do so. Your lodging cost would be approximately $112.50 per person for the weekend.

Making your own meals: Goddard is approximately 5 minutes from Plainfield and 15 minutes from Montpelier. Uber Eats and DoorDash deliver to campus, and a microwave and refrigerator are available in the dorm lounge.

The Haybarn Restaurant & Lounge on campus also offers dinner and drinks Wednesday through Saturday. This is the heart of the evenings at The Creative Campus at Goddard and we hope you will join us there for snacks, drinks, and music!

Registration Deadline: Monday, October 5, 2026

Space is limited to 30 participants. A minimum of 12 registered participants is required for the retreat to take place.We understand that plans can change. Registration fees are fully refundable for cancellations made by October 5. Cancellations made after October 5 are non-refundable. If the retreat is canceled by the organizers, all fees will be refunded.
